4 Killed, 13 Wounded In Shootings Since Tuesday Morning, Police Say

CHICAGO — Four men were shot to death and 13 other people were wounded in shootings around the city between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, officials said.

Between two shootings in Austin early Tuesday afternoon, four men were shot, one fatally, police said. The man killed was identified as Antonio White, 29.

In other murders:

• Around 8:30 p.m., Timothy Hill, 25, was shot to death in the 600 block of East Bowen Avenue in Bronzeville.

• At 9:08 p.m., Jeremy Parker, 21, was shot to death in the 7400 block of South Maplewood Avenue in Marquette Park.

• Around 11:40 p.m., a 43-year-old man was killed and a 35-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the 800 block of West 18th Street in Pilsen.

In other shootings:

• Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, a 44-year-old man was shot and wounded in the 800 block of North Tripp Avenue in West Humboldt Park.

• At 1:06 p.m. Tuesday, a 41-year-old man was shot and wounded in the 5200 block of South Prairie Avenue in Washington Park.

• Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, a 16-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man were shot and wounded in the 6800 block of South Throop Street in Englewood.

• Around 6 p.m., a 31-year-old man was walking in the 12100 block of South Emerald Avenue in West Pullman someone shot at him out of a passing vehicle, police said.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition with a gunshot wound in his back, police said.

• At 9:05 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was riding in a car in the 7000 block of South Wabash Avenue in Park Manor when a man shot at the car from the sidewalk, Estrada said.

The driver took the woman to the University of Chicago Medical Center, Estrada said, where her condition stabilized after she was treated for a gunshot wound in her left knee.

• Around 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, a man was shot in his left foot in the 8200 block of South Maryland Avenue in Chatham, Estrada said.

Police said the man did not identify himself, and he refused to cooperate with authorities.

• Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 30-year-old woman was standing in the 8800 block of South Laflin Street in Auburn Gresham when she heard gunshots and felt pain, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where her condition stabilized after she was treated for a graze wound in her back, Estrada said.

• About 15 minutes earlier, a 27-year-old man was walking in the 6300 block of South Artesian Avenue in the Marquette Park neighborhood when a group of men approached him and began to beat him,  Estrada said.

During the scuffle, someone shot the man in his right shoulder, police said.

He was brought to Holy Cross Hospital, Estrada said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."Police said the man is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
