West Humboldt Park Shooting Wounds Man, 44, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 44-year-old man was injured in a West Humboldt Park shooting late Tuesday morning, according to police.

The man was in the 800 block of North Tripp Avenue at 11 a.m. when shots rang out, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, Chicago Police spokesman.

He was struck in his leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Sweeney said. Police did not have the man's condition but said he was "stable."

No arrests have been made.
