LOGAN SQUARE — The second location of popular ramen spot Furious Spoon is getting close to opening.
The restaurant, 2410 N. Milwaukee Ave., is on pace to "definitely" open in early June, according to Anshul Mangal, a Furious Spoon co-owner.
Construction on the project is nearly complete and the restaurant plans to begin hiring and training a new staff within the next month.
Furious Spoon is taking over the former El Charro restaurant, which the owners gutted.
The biggest differences from the Wicker Park location will be the addition of a full bar and a large outdoor patio.
Logan Square Furious Spoon will have a patio that wraps around its location at the corner of Fullerton and Milwaukee avenues with seating for about 80 people.
The restaurant is also in the process of opening a third location in Pilsen, which is expected to open before the end of the year.
