PILSEN — A Wicker Park ramen shop will open a new location on 18th Street in Pilsen this year.

Furious Spoon, a "housemade noodle, hip-hop ramen" shop, will open at 1316 W. 18th St. before the end of the year, executive chef Shin Thompson said. The Pilsen ramen shop, launched in Wicker Park, will be the restaurant's third location.

The 1,300-square-foot space will feature room for 60-70 guests and the same fast casual service and menu items as the Wicker Park location. The restaurant's menu features ramen bowls ($7.25-$12.25), rice bowls ($11-$12), sides and traditoinal sakes and beers.

Managing partner Anshul Mangal said the restaurant, styled after Tokyo's ramen shops, aims to provide the neighborhood with a great Asian dining option at a reasonable price.

“We love Pilsen. We think Furious is perfect for the neighborhood," Mangal said.

The group’s second location in Logan Square is expected to open this Spring. They hope to have the Pilsen location open before the end of the year.

Furious Spoon's Wicker Park location, at 1571 N. Milwaukee Ave., opened in February 2015 and a Logan Square location will open this spring at 2410 N. Milwaukee Ave.

The new 18th Street location was first reported by Eater Chicago.
