Little Village Man Shot in Neck Listed in Critical Condition, Police Say

LITTLE VILLAGE — A 34-year-old man was shot in his neck in Little Village Thursday evening, police said.

Around 8:40 p.m., the man was standing in front of a residence in the 2800 block of West 25th Place when someone shot him in his neck, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man brought himself to St. Anthony's Hospital, Sedevic said, and he was transferred to Stroger Hospital. He was listed in critical condition.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody, police said.
