LITTLE VILLAGE — An 18-year-old man was in serious condition after being shot in Little Village early Sunday morning, police said.

Around 1 a.m., the man was standing on the sidewalk in the 2200 block of South Marshall Avenue when a man jumped out of a nearby dark van and shot at him, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound in his back, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody, Sedevic said.
