LINCOLN PARK — An outdoor retailer that has called North Avenue home for about 11 years is closing at the end of the month due to slow sales, according to a store manager.

Erehwon Mountain Outfitter, 1000 W. North Ave., is closing April 24, according to the manager.

Until then, the retailer is offering 40 to 70 percent off everything in the store, which includes hiking and camping equipment, footwear and gear for outdoor sports such as skiing and backpacking.

The only other Erehwon locations in the Chicago area are in the suburbs: There's one in Naperville at 47 E. Chicago Ave. and another in Bannockburn at 2585 Waukegan Rd.
