WOODLAWN — Two boys, age 15 and 12, have been arrested for a string of armed robberies, according to the University of Chicago Police Department.
The two boys were arrested and charged with robbery armed with a firearm at 10:20 p.m. on Monday on the 6100 block of South Greenwood Avenue after they robbed a 27-year-old man, who flagged down police, according to the Chicago Police Department.
University police said the two boys are believed to be behind a string of at least three armed robberies since Saturday, including an attempted armed robbery on Sunday where the two boys ran away after the victim fell down.
Chicago Police referred questions to the university police.
University police declined to immediately say what other robberies the boys may be charged with.
