WOODLAWN — A University of Chicago student was held up just south of campus on Sunday night by three men with a gun.

According to university police, the student was walking down the 6100 block of South Greenwood Avenue at 9:50 p.m. Sunday when the men, one with a handgun, came up behind him.

The men demanded the student’s valuables. The student refused, stumbled and fell to the ground and the three men ran south down Greenwood Avenue, according to police.

It was not immediately known whether the men made off with any of the victim's property.

The student was not injured, according to police.
