CHICAGO — A Little Village shooting left an 18-year-old man injured on Monday, police said.
At 11:55 a.m., the man was in the 3900 block of West 27th Street when someone walked up to him, shouted gang slogans and opened fire on the man, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was hit in his right thigh and left groin. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Sedevic said.
The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.
