CHICAGO — Going out of business liquidation sales in Chicago are a dime a dozen. But only at this one can you find a fake mausoleum, a replica of the Hunchback of Notre Dame and all the equipment needed to run a DIY theater in your basement.

After announcing it would shutter in December, Pilsen's Redmoon Theater is hosting an online auction for all of its equipment and stage props. The auction started Tuesday but runs through Monday, Jan. 18, according to the theater's auction page.

Redmoon Theater, which is known for putting on the "Great Chicago Fire Festival" that sputtered in 2014, will host a viewing for the items Thursday at the theater, 2120 S. Jefferson St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Most of the collection appears to be tools and other equipment needed stage elaborate productions, including an actual stage, curtains, sound and lighting equipment.

But quite a few of the items are bizarre, not-entirely-useful things that will nonetheless be a conversation starter in any house.

Check out some of the auction's more interesting items below, and head over to the auction page to learn more or place your bid.
