UNIVERSITY VILLAGE — A man has been charged with sexually assaulting a University of Illinois at Chicago student in a campus dormitory.
UIC police said the man was arrested on Thursday for the assault, which occured on Nov. 20.
"The incident took place in a campus residence hall at 700 S. Halsted [St.] and was reported to police on Nov. 23," a crime alert issued by the university said. "The offender, who was known to the victim, is not affiliated with UIC."
The man arrested was not identified.
