LINCOLN PARK — A chain restaurant offering American grub and more than 110 beers on tap is slated to open in the massive New City complex on Sept. 26.

Yard House, 1500 N. Clybourn Ave., will be the restaurant chain's first city location. It will join locations in Glenview, 1880 Tower Drive, and many other cities across the country.

The 11,500-square-foot restaurant will serve everything from grilled burgers to tacos and pizza, as well as gluten-sensitive and vegetarian options. It will seat 370 patrons both inside and on its outdoor patio.

Drink-wise, expect 110 beers on tap, including American craft beers and imports. Wine, martinis, mules and other cocktails are also on the menu.

The Lincoln Park location, in addition to an existing Glenview location, will offer a special menu of signature items for happy hour, which will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 p.m. to close Sundays-Thursday. During those times, expect full-sized appetizers starting at $5 that can be paired with drinks.

Another new tenant, Kings Bowl, an entertainment venue and bowling alley, is set to open in the New City complex Nov. 2.

The $265 million mega-complex, which spans 8½ acres at the North Avenue, Clybourn Avenue and Halsted Street intersection, will also house a 14-screen movie theater, the largest Mariano's grocery store in the city, 40,000 square feet of restaurant space and more.

The development, which offers more than 1 million square feet of building space, had been eight years in the making.
