CHICAGO — Stop acting like summer is over, Chicago. Get outside!

1. "Dead Poets Society" Picnic in Wicker Park:  A 6-flick summer tribute to Robin Williams continues with "Dead Poets Society," starring Williams as a new English teacher at an all-boys prep school. The Chop Shop is again offering a $14 “Picnic for 2” (meat, cheeses pickles, artichoke, baguette and giardiniera) as well as shareable sandwich platters for $20 (8 mini sandwiches) along with a 10-percent discount if you call ahead at 773-537-4440. Dusk, (around 8 p.m. but come earlier to get a good patch of grass) in Wicker Park, 1425 N. Damen Ave. on the softball field.

2. Take Your Toddler (Or Yourself) To Meet A Turtle In The Park: Turtles, toddlers and tunes, oh my! As part of the Nights Out in The Parks events, animal experts will be on hand with an all-star team of outdoor critters: Snakes, frogs, turtles, birds and more. Not only that, but musicians will be waiting and ready to serenade your toddler (or you) if snakes are just not your thing, but you still wanted to give it a try. No one is judging you. Chippewa Park, 6748 N. Sacramento Ave., 5:30-7 p.m., Free.

3. Have an Excellent Adventure with Bill and Ted: Bring the kids out to Chase Park for the PG flick Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure as part of the Chicago Park District's Movies in the Park. The movie night will be hosted by the Clarendon Park Advisory Council. Dusk. 4701 N. Ashland Ave. Free.

4. Steppin' in Washington Park: It's a dance party tonight in Washington Park with DJs Dawud and Lura Shareef teaching Chicago steppin' from 6-7 p.m. before handing it off to DJ Mellow Khris from 7-9 p.m. for the Chicago Park District's Night Out: Summer Dance. 6-9 p.m. Washington Park, 5531 S. Martin Luther King Drive. Free.

5. Support Farmers and a Good Cause: New to the Low Line Market this week is the Global Garden Refugee Training Farm, an Albany Park plot where 100 refugee families from Bhutan and Burma grow fresh produce. Pilot Lights, a nonprofit focused on healthy eating for kids, will also be there. With so many new vendors this season, the farmers market is expanding into a gravel lot under the Southport Brown Line station. 3-8 p.m., Brown Line Southport 'L' station, 3411 N. Southport Ave. Free.
