Union Park's Outdoor Pool Opens for the Summer Season

NEAR WEST SIDE — The Union Park pool on the Near West Side is now open for the season.

The outdoor pool, located at Lake Street and Ashland Avenue, is open daily 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Labor Day.

Admission to the pool is free and fees vary for lap swim and instructional classes.

Registration is still available online for Learn to Swim classes at 11 a.m.-noon Saturdays and Sundays at Union Park. The classes, targeted at kids ages 6-13, are $28 for residents and $56 for non-residents.

The Chicago Park District operates 49 outdoor pools.
