WEST LOOP — After success in Logan Square, luxury juice bar Owen + Alchemy is planning to open a shop in the West Loop.
While the Chicago-based cold-pressed juice company isn't quite ready to announce the juice bar's location and opening date, officials did confirm a new store will be located in the West Loop and another will be located in West Town. Owners expect new stores to open by October.
Known for their cold-pressed, plant-based juices and superfood smoothies, Owen + Alechemy's counter-service menus in the West Loop and West Town will also include nut milks, plant-based bites and a variety of healthy, concentrated shots and herb supplements.
The line of designer juices retail for $10-$12 per 16-ounce bottle. The company also offers cleanses ($65 per day for a six-juice supply), monthly memberships and subscriptions.
The company's flagship "luxury juice mecca," at 2355 N. Milwaukee in Logan Square, opened in October 2014. Last month, the chef-driven juice bar opened a pop-up at Eataly Chicago that will be open for the remainder of the year.
By this October, the juice bar plans to have four stores in Chicago, said owner Anne Owen. She will open the juice bars with chef/partner Jared Van Camp, executive chef of Nellcôte and Old Town Social, and Element Collective, the team behind West Loop restaurants RM Champagne Salon and al fresco eatery Expat, among others.
"We've been able to move the business in an exciting direction in our first year, and we're so thankful the Chicago community has been receptive to what we're presenting," Owen said.
