CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was hospitalized after he was shot in Englewood Sunday afternoon, police said, bringing the weekend total for Chicago shootings to 40 wounded and one man killed since Friday afternoon.

Around 12:20 p.m., the 22-year-old was standing outside in the 400 block of West 65th Place when an unknown man walked up and opened fire, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

He was shot in his right arm and taken to John H. Stroger Hospital in good condition, Zala said.
