At Least Six Wounded in Shootings Thursday

CHICAGO — At least six people were wounded in shootings across the city Thursday.

The most recent shooting occurred around 11:55 p.m. in the Heart of Chicago, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

A 30-year-old man was walking in the 2000 block of South Paulina Street when someone opened fire striking him in the left foot. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, Estrada said.

Around 8:30 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot multiple times as he walked in the 3900 block of South Wentworth Avenue in Fuller Park. He was taken to Stroger Hospital and listed in stable condition after being hit in his shoulder, arms and back, Estrada said.

Another 28-year-old man was wounded as he walked in the 5400 block of South Springfield Avenue in Washington Park. The man was shot in his right wrist and right leg around 5:45 p.m. He was listed in stable condition at University of Chicago Hospital, Estrada said.

Around 5:30 p.m., a 30-year-old man told police he was shot in Humboldt Park.

Earlier Thursday, a 17-year-old boy was among two people shot on the South Side.
