CHICAGO — At least two people were shot in separate incidents on the South Side Thursday, police said.

In Morgan Park, at 4:20 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot in his head in the 1700 block of West Montvale Ave., said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago police spokesman.

The boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Sweeney said.

At 1 p.m., in Englewood, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 6900 block of South Vincennes Avenue and found an 18-year-old man shot in his leg, Sweeney said.

He was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital where he was listed in good condition, Sweeney said.

No other information was immediately available.
