PILSEN — Artist-guided mural and studio tours of Pilsen's art scene will hit the neighborhood this weekend.

The 18th Street Pilsen Open Studios runs from noon-8 p.m. Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday at more than 50 studios, galleries and cafes near the 18th Street corridor. The event aims to show the public where and how art in Pilsen is made, according to organizers.

The 12th annual open studios event features a guided mural walk of Pilsen and studio tours for $10 Saturday and Sunday.

Those interested in tours should visit the open event homebase at Colibrí Studio/Gallery, 2032 W. 18th St. All tours will depart from the gallery.

A full map is available on the group's Facebook page.

The 18th Street Pilsen Open Studios, part of Chicago Artists Month, was founded in 2003 by a group on longtime Pilsen artists.
