STREETERVILLE — Blowtique, a hair salon that offers no cuts or coloring — styling only with blowouts and braids — will open its second Chicago location Oct. 1 in the Shops at North Bridge.
The blowout salon opened its flagship location at 1 E. Huron St. two years ago. Since then the team has been a fixture at big-ticket festivals and launched a seasonal pop-up shop in the Park Hyatt Hotel, but the 1,400-square-foot salon on the third floor of the Magnificent Mile mall will be the brand's first brick-and-mortar expansion in the city.
Blowouts will be offered at a $40 flat rate in the Streeterville location, though the same service is currently $35 in River North.
The new location will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. The River North location opens at 8 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. Sundays.
