
CHICAGO — A 56-year-old man has died after a drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon in South Austin.
At about 1:35 p.m. in the 100 block of North Leamington Avenue, a car approached the 56-year-old and someone inside the car fired several shots, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a police spokesman.
The man was shot in the back and leg. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a police spokesman.
Albert Glover, of the same block was pronounced dead at 2:21 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police are investigating the shooting.
