WEST LOOP — Missed your chance to eat at Ina's one last time?

You can still have a piece of — or a plate from — the famous breakfast spot, which closed Dec. 31.

Retiring restaurateur Ina Pinkney is selling what's left of her cozy restaurant's insides, everything from tables and chairs to the salt and pepper shakers, no two sets alike, that graced the tables and shelves.

The sale is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the building at 1235 W. Randolph St. The restaurant is slated to become a Lou Malnati's pizzeria.

Pinkney, who is retiring after 33 years in the business, is giving dibs on kitchen equipment to restaurant industry folks in a private sale Thursday.

The public sale is cash only. Items will be priced from $1 to $25, she said.

"Think of how cozy Ina's was and think of taking a piece of that home," Pinkney said. "I just want it gone."

Ina's was known for its "Heavenly Hots" pancakes and scrapple, its no-cellphones policy, a large (for the city) parking lot, and its sassy owner, whose cookbook, "Taste Memories: Recipes for Life and Breakfast," was published in October.
