UPTOWN — The Boba Teahouse is the latest addition to Uptown's Argyle Street area known for delicious and affordable Asian dining options.

The Vietnamese joint at 1024 W. Argyle St. has an expansive food menu with 82 items, including banh mi sandwiches, pho and other noodle dishes, rice dishes, salads, appetizers and more. Most of the food items range from about $3.75 to $8.

Boba, which opened late last week and has seating for about 20 people, also boasts a drink menu with 165 specialty teas, fresh fruit smoothies and other beverages.

While signage has been above the storefront for months and the interior looked good to go, the restaurant hadn't been open and was awaiting a business license from the city for nearly four months, said employee Phu Nguyen, an Uptown resident.

"A lot of people don't know we are open yet," Nguyen said.

Boba is open every day except Tuesday. Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
