CHICAGO — Patrick Kane's mullet may have gotten more attention than his playoff beard last spring, but now the Blackhawks winger is putting it on all the line - his upper lip, actually - this month.

Kane and teammates Bryan Bickell, Brandon Bollig and Niklas Hjallmarsson are all growing mustaches for Movember, the November mustache-growing challenge that raises awareness of and funds to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health issues in men.

The players announced they'd be growing the lip luggage Friday on Twitter.

Bickell is captain of the Hawks' fundraising team, which has so far raised $737. Fans can sign up to join the team, encouraging friends and family to donate to the cause. Supporters can donate to each individual player or to the team.

The Movember organization says its "Mo Bros" bring much-needed awareness to men's health issues just by growing a crumb catcher. Founded in Australia in 2003, the organization raised more $147 million worldwide last year, it said on its website.
