PILSEN — The 25th Ward office is on the move.
Ald. Danny Solis' ward office — currently at 2439 S. Oakley Ave. — will be moving to the "more centrally located" space at 1800 S. Blue Island Ave., Solis spokeswoman Lauren Pacheco said.
The old office at 2439 S. Oakley Ave. will close Friday at noon so employees can begin the moving process.
The new office space will officially open to the public at 9 a.m. Aug. 8.
According to Pacheco, the building at 2439 S. Oakley Ave. went into foreclosure and is now under new ownership. The alderman's office is unaware of future plans for that building.
