CHICAGO — Next Restaurant released tickets for its pre-paid dining experience for the rest of May, and they sold out in just more than an hour.
As of 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, people waiting to buy tickets took to the Next Restaurant Facebook page to complain that the website appeared to be crashing.
"We are receiving more traffic than anticipated and are currently adding more server resources. We apologize for the delay," Next's Facebook page stated just after 7 p.m.
The tickets sold out by about 8 p.m., according to the restaurant's website.
Diners needed to pay for their tickets, which include all of a meal's food and drink, beforehand online.
Starting Wednesday, Next features a Vegan menu, and tickets range from about $90 to $115, depending on the day of the week.
