WRIGLEYVILLE — Police responded to a call of shots fired early Saturday in Wrigleyville.

At about 1:20 a.m. Saturday, police were called to the 3500 block of North Clark Street, the busy, bar-filled stretch of Clark just south of Wrigley Field.

Police said their investigation led to the arrest of a 29-year-old Woodlawn man for possession of narcotics.

The man was attempting to hide, according to the police report, when officers found him. The police learned that the man had caused a disturbance inside of a business and was in possession of narcotics, according to a report.

During the investigation, a weapon and shell casings were recovered from the alley, but the man was not charged in relation to the shots fired complaint.

No further information was available, police said.
