CHICAGO — Shootings have left 16 people wounded since Wednesday, police said.

• Most recently, at 5 a.m. Thursday, a 24-year-old man was shot in West Garfield Park, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was walking at Madison Street and Kilbourn Avenue when a car drove up and someone fired shots.

The man was hit in the arm. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition, Amezaga said.

• At 2:10 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in Marquette Park, Amezaga said. The man was walking down the street in the 2400 block of West 68th Street when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in the back. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, Amezaga said.

• At 12:40 a.m., a 65-year-old woman was shot when she tried to pepper spray a man who was robbing her at gunpoint in Auburn Gresham.

• At 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, a 16-year-old boy was shot multiple times in Little Village, Amezaga said.

• At 9:45 p.m., a 22-year-old man shot in North Lawndale, Amezaga said. The man was walking in the 1800 block of South Springfield Avenue when someone walking on the street fired shots at him.

The man was hit in the left leg. He took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition, Amezaga said.

• At 9 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in West Pullman, Amezaga said. The man was in the 12100 block of South Lowe Avenue when he was shot in the left leg.

The man took himself to Roseland Community Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 8:50 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in Jeffrey Manor, Amezaga said. The man was in the 9500 block of South Oglesby Avenue when he was shot in the buttocks.

The man took himself to Advocate Trinity Hospital, Amezaga said.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 8:20 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in Englewood.

• At 7:22 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in Grand Crossing, Amezaga said. The man was in the 7300 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue when he was shot in the leg.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 4:40 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in Grand Crossing, Amezaga said. The teen was in the 7100 block of South Eberhart Avenue when he was shot in the side.

The teen was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 2:55 p.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, Amezaga said. The man was in the 4300 block of West West End Avenue when he got into an argument with someone when someone fired shots, hitting the man.

The man was hit in the hip and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Amezaga said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said. It was not immediately clear if the person he was arguing with was the one who fired the shots.

• At 1 p.m., four people were shot and wounded in Garfield Park.

• At noon, a 27-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, Amezaga said. The man was in the 600 block of South St. Louis Avenue when his face was grazed by a bullet and he was shot in the torso.

The man was in good condition, though information about what hospital he was treated at was not immediately available, Amezaga said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
