LAKEVIEW — Want to see a blue man for less green?
David Cross, best known for his role as the aspiring Blue Man and misguided father Tobias Fünke in "Arrested Development," just announced his first stand-up tour in six years.
The "Make America Great Again" tour launches Jan. 26. In Chicago, Cross will perform March 12 at The Vic Theater, 3145 N. Sheffield Ave. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for $39.
Cross lifted the title of his tour from Donald Trump's presidential campaign slogan. While Trump's America includes a ban on allowing Muslim people into the country, Cross offers his vision of "patented, fart-incuding laugh winces."
If you can't bear to wait until March to see Cross, he'll be in Madison, Wisconsin, on Feb. 12.
While Cross returned to "Arrested Development" in the Netflix revival, he's also kept busy since the original series ended in 2006. He offered "pay-what-you-want" access to his directoral debut, "Hits," and starred in the self-created television series "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret."
Most recently, Cross teamed up with "Better Call Saul" star Bob Odenkirk for the Netflix sketch comedy series "W/ Bob and David," a sort-of rebirth of the duo's "Mr. Show."
