LAKEVIEW — Lakeview residents have a chance to ring in the holidays with some political chit chat on Monday.

Ald. Tom Tunney (44th), state Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago) and U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley (D-5th) will host a holiday open house from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at their service office, 3223 N. Sheffield Ave.

Neighbors are invited to share thoughts and ideas while enjoying light refreshments.

Some recent topics that might merit discussion:

• What you'd like to see at the Wrigley Field plaza.

• The status of efforts by Feigenholtz, Tunney and senior residents of Presbyterian Homes to prevent their ouster as the nonprofit closes its neighborhood homes program.

• Newly resurfaced plans for a medical marijuana dispensary near Wrigley Field, which Tunney backs.

• Revitalization efforts along Lincoln Avenue after the groundbreaking of the new Lakeview Whole Foods Market.

• Why, oh why, is pumpkin pie Illinois' official state pie?
