CHICAGO — Three men died and five people were hurt in citywide shootings between Saturday morning and Sunday morning, police said.

A 26-year-old man was pronounced dead after being shot in his stomach in West Englewood Saturday evening, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Later, police found a 32-year-old man shot to death inside a parked van in Little Village, Estrada said.

Just after midnight Sunday morning, a 27-year-old man died and a 32-year-old woman was hurt after being shot in Back of the Yards, Estrada said.

In nonfatal shootings:

• Most recently, at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, a 22-year-old man was standing in the 6000 block of South Archer Avenue in Garfield Ridge when a man walked up and shot him in his groin and both his hands before fleeing on foot, Estrada said.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition, Estrada said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member, and they believe the shooting was gang-related.

• About a half hour earlier around 5:10 a.m., a man was driving in the 5400 block of South Hoyne Avenue in Back of the Yards when someone pulled up next to him in a black sedan and shot at him, Estrada said.

After being shot in his lower left leg, Estrada said, the man drove to the 8th District Police Station. From there he was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition, Estrada said.

Police said the man has "known gang ties" and they believe the shooting was gang-related.

• Around 1:55 a.m. Sunday, a 33-year-old man walked into Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound in his upper right thigh, Estrada said.

The man claimed to have been walking on the sidewalk in the 5500 block of South State Street in Washington Park when he heard shots and felt pain, Estrada said.

The man's condition later stabilized, Estrada said. Police did not say the extent of his injuries.

Police said the man is a documented gang member, and they believe the shooting was gang-related.

• Around 9 p.m. Saturday, Estrada said, a 21-year-old man was grazed by a bullet in a drive-by shooting in West Humboldt Park.

No one is in custody for any shootings.
