CHICAGO — A man and woman have been trying to abduct people in Logan Square and drive them to ATMs to withdraw cash, according to police.

There have been at least two cases of the couple robbing people at gunpoint before trying to get them into their car, police said in a community alert issued Tuesday.

In one incident, the robbers were successful in getting a woman into their car and then driving her to various ATMs to withdraw cash, police said.

The two robbers held up another woman at gunpoint, but were unable to get her into their car, police said.

The first incident happened at 11:11 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of North Fairfield Avenue, police said.

The second robbery happened at 10:09 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of North Richmond Street, police said.

Police described the robbers as a black man 18-27 years old, about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and weighing 135 pounds, and a black woman, 18-20 years old, about 5-foot-9 and weighing about 200 pounds.
