LAKEVIEW — You've prepared your costume, whether it took hours combing through thrift stores or an elaborately planned trip to one of Lakeview's top costume shops. The kids have been plotting out their trick-or-treat route for the last month, and now all you need to do is celebrate.

We've got the run-down on where you should be:

Trick-Or-Treating and Family Fun:

Southport Trick-or-Treat: If your tiny Elsas and Spidermans can't wait for next week to trick-or-treat, stop by the Southport Corridor on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. from Belmont Avenue to Irving Park Road. Trick-or-Treat on Southport will have live music, a 1 p.m. pet costume parade, a free photo booth, crafts and games. Trick-or-treating begins at 2 p.m. at local businesses, and adults can also enjoy a treat at the Crosby's Kitchen beer garden.

Haunted Pup Crawl: This one's for the dogs — the first Lakeview Haunted Pup Crawl will kick off Sunday at Halsted and Belmont. Your dressed-up puppy pals can trick-or-treat along Halsted, while owners can sign up for $2,000 in raffle prizes. Some businesses like Wiggleyville Pet Boutique are also offering discounts, while others will host Chicago dog walkers, pet event planners and doggie chiropractors.

Halloween on Northalsted: From noon to 3 p.m. Halloween, the Northalsted Business Alliance will treat neighbors to a host of tricks and treats. A pumpkin carving contest starts at noon, followed by a family and pet parade at 1:30 p.m. at Roscoe and Aldine. Halloween art will be chalked on sidewalks from Newport to Cornelia, and Triangle Neighbors will throw a party at Space Park, 815 W. Roscoe. The Jesse White Tumblers, Mary Macaroni, Randy the Magician and the Chicago Spirit Brigade will perform.

A Halloween parade will start at 4p.m. at Belmont and Halsted and travel north. Participants can compete for the best costumes in four categories: scariest, drag, group and theme.

Halloween Hoopla: Nettelhorst School, 3253 N. Broadway, will host a Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday featuring free hayrides, face painting, balloonists, games and crafts. Kids can also get free Halloween bags and candy. From 2-5 p.m., children can trick-or-treat at area businesses along North Broadway.

Tickets are $15, and shows start at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Oct. 30 at Hydrate Nightclub, 3458 N. Halsted.

Halloween One Act Festival: Stage 773's third installment of its One Act Festival will get downright ghoulish for the next two Fridays with a two-hour special Halloween edition. Rocky Horror Picture Brunch: For the sixth year, Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club will host a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" brunch on Sunday. Diva Madam X will perform songs from the campy cult classic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the film will play on several large screens. Guests dressed as the movie's characters can win a $100 cash prize. Martinis are half-price all day.
