EDGEWATER — Are you guilty of being a "parking pig"?

Some Edgewater street-parkers woke Tuesday morning to find a barrage of miniature fliers tucked under their windshield wipers complete with instructions on how to correctly parallel park.

Linze Rice discusses one major flaw in the "parking pig" logic:

"Don't worry," two feet in front, and two behind will do just fine, according to the poster.

The card even comes with diagrams with both a "good" and "bad" example of how to street park.

The incorrect way, signified by a sad cartoon face, shows a three-car scenario in which the middle car is not parked evenly in the middle.

The proper way, shown with a group of smiling cars, shows how an extra car could fit on the street if the parker in the "bad" example had only left more space.

"Use only one space and leave room for others," it said.
