MORGAN PARK — Well, that didn't take long.

McNally's, a Southwest Side pub with a history of taunting the Chicago Cubs and their fans, stayed true to form on Thursday.

The pub at 11136 S. Western Ave. in Morgan Park used one side of its marquee to announce that customers will get free beer every time the St. Louis Cardinals hit a home run against the Cubs in the National League Division Series.

Howard Ludwig chats about how South Siders feel about the Cubs:

The Cubs advanced to the NLDS against the Cardinals after winning a one-game playoff 4-0 against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night.

McNally's in Morgan Park is offering free beer for every home run hit by the St. Louis Cardinals, according to its marquee. The Southwest Side pub has a history of prodding the Chicago Cubs and their fans.

Jake Arrieta, arguably the Cubs' best pitcher, threw a complete game. McNally's took another jab at the North Side ballclub on the other side of its marquee.

"Cub Fans, Who's Gonna Pitch Now?" reads the south-facing sign outside the bar.

McNally's had a "Hawks and Pirates" special going on during Wednesday's game (it was also Opening Night for the Blackhawks). Pictures from patrons posted on Facebook also showed a pirate flag behind the bar.

Another long-standing bit of baseball memorabilia at McNally's is a picture of the iconic neon sign outside Wrigley Field featuring the message, "Congratulations to the 2005 Chicago White Sox."
