SOUTH LAKEVIEW — She's interviewed Michelle Obama and raised more than $300,000 for animals in need, and she'll be in Lakeview Saturday.

Katie Couric? Rachel Maddow? Nope. It's Lil Bub.

The unconventionally adorable cat is returning to host the 2015 Chicago Internet Cat Video Festival, which will include 75 minutes of carefully curated (purrated?) cat videos screening at 1, 4:30 and 8 p.m. at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave.

Adoptable cats from the Chicago Cat Rescue and Tree House Humane Society will be present, along with award-winners from past festivals.

If that's not enough to tickle your whiskers, the festival will include an exclusive screening of an all-new film by the creator of the deeply philosophical Henri Le Chat Noir. Alana and Kris, Chicago hosts of the CATastrophes Web series, will also make appearances.

The Chicago Internet Cat Video Festival will take place Saturday at the Athenaeum Theatre.

In 2011, Lil Bub was found in a tool shed in rural Indiana. As the runt of her litter, she was taken in as a rescue cat before Mike Bridavsky adopted her. Since then, the cat's celebrity has skyrocketed, with an Animal Planet special, a Vice documentary and merch galore.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Groups of 10 or more can get tickets for $10 each, and a pre-show Lil Bub Meet and Greet costs $100. All ticket sale proceeds benefit the two animal shelters, while the Lil Bub proceeds also benefit Lil Bub's Big Fund for special needs pets.
