Victims Attacked From Behind During Lakeview, Uptown Robberies: Police

CHICAGO — Police are warning of three robberies in three days in Lakeview and Uptown.

During the robberies, a man or two men walked up to victims and used force to rob them. Victims were attacked from behind in two instances; in another instance, the men spoke to their victim before robbing him or her, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The incidents occurred:

• 2:15 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 2800 block of North Clark Street

• 2:30 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 400 block of West Wellington Avenue

• 2:15 a.m. Aug. 31 in the 4700 block of North Clark Street

During the incident on Aug. 31, the men were described as being 20-29 years old, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 and 170-180 pounds, according to police. One of the men is white and has short hair and another man is black.
