CHICAGO — Three people have been killed and 12 wounded in shootings since Friday morning, police say.

At 2 a.m. Saturday, police found a man dead with multiple gunshot wounds in a car in Garfield Park, police said.

Around 2:30 p.m. Friday, police found a man and woman shot dead inside a loan store in the Loop in what investigators believe was a domestic-related murder-suicide.

• In the most recent nonfatal shooting, at 4 a.m. Saturday, a 27-year-old man was in the 2500 block of South Kedvale Avenue in Little Village when he was chased and beaten up, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman. One man shot the victim, who had multiple wounds and was taken to Mt. Sinai in serious condition, Estrada said.

• At 3:15 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot and injured while in his car in South Loop.

•At 12:57 a.m., a 19-year-old man was in a gangway in the 4000 block of West 21st Place in North Lawndale when he heard shots and felt pain, Estrada said. The man was shot in his chest and thigh and walked into Mt. Sinai in stable condition, Estrada said.

The incident might be gang related, police said.

•At 10:40 p.m. Friday, a 29-year-old man was on a porch in the 5900 block of West Huron Street in Austin when two men walked up to him and shot at him, Estrada said. The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai in stable condition with wounds to his shoulder, Estrada said.

• Three people, including two teens, were injured in the 6100 block of South Kimbark Avenue in Woodlawn around 7:30 p.m., said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The group was standing outside when someone fired shots from a vehicle, Trainor said. A 15-year-old boy was shot in his left hand and taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. A 16-year-old boy was shot in his neck and taken in Stroger Hospital in serious condition. A 24-year-old was shot twice in his abdomen and taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition, Trainor said.

A "person of interest" is being questioned in the shooting, Trainor said.

Police said the three victims are documented gang members.

• Around 7:18 p.m., another three people were shot in the 4700 block of West Barry Avenue in Belmont Cragin, Trainor said. The group was standing outside when someone fired shots from a vehicle.

Trainor said a 16-year-old boy was shot in his left foot, a 26-year-old man was shot in his right foot and a 37-year-old man was shot in his right shin. All three were listed in stable condition.

Trainor said one victim went to Community First Hospital while the other two went to Resurrection, but it was unclear Friday night as to which victims went where.

Police said all three victims are documented gang members.

• About 30 minutes earlier around 6:50 p.m., a 22-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the 2000 block of West 79th Street in Auburn Gresham, Trainor said.

The 22-year-old was shot in his left arm, both legs and right hand and listed in serious condition at Christ Hospital, Trainor said. Police did not have additional information about the circumstances of the shooting Friday night.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member.

• About 10 minutes earlier around 6:38 p.m., a 19-year-old man was standing outside in the 4100 block of West Wilcox Street in West Garfield Park when someone in a minivan fired shots, Trainor said.

The 19-year-old was shot in his head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Trainor said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member and convicted felon.

No one is arrested in these shootings.
