CHICAGO — A 38-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park early Wednesday, police said.

Around 2:06 a.m., the man was walking in the 3300 block of West Ohio Street when someone approached him from behind, yelled gang slogans and opened fire striking him in his left foot, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokesman.

He was taken to Norwegian American Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Pacheco said.
