Annnnnd...we're back:

Sweet Suites: The Langham Hotel, in the former IBM Building at 330 N. Wabash Ave., has been ranked the sixth best hotel in the world, as determined by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine. The profile of the hotel notes its expansive views of the Chicago River and skyline and its "detail-oriented service." Says the profile: "Everyone from the receptionist to the porter knows guests by name." Its 12th-floor "Infinity Suite," with two king beds and 24-hour butler service, starts at $6,000 per night. (Number one on the list is Triple Creek Ranch in Darby, Montana, featuring upscale log cabins.)

Also getting some love at Travel + Leisure is O'Hare Airport, which makes a list of "Nine American Airports for Art Lovers." Notable at O'Hare: Michael Hayden's "Sky's the Limit," which (news to senior editor Andrew Herrmann) is what those neon lights between terminals B and C is called. Midway gets a shoutout, too, for its awesome bird/plane artwork called (again, who knew?) "Rara Avis."

What's that? Midway Airport's "Rara Avis," by Ralph Hemick and Stuart Schechter. [Ralph Hemick]

"Lou Grant's" Hyde Park Affair: Before Ed Asner was Mary Tyler Moore's cranky boss, he spent his salad days sleeping through classes with famed political philosopher Leo Strauss and having affairs with women not to his Orthodox Jewish parents' liking. Asner spends a good chunk of his interview with Marc Maron on the "WTF Podcast" talking about dropping out of the University of Chicago to become an actor.

No One Loves Reagan Like This GOPer: If you haven't heard yet, the latest Republican candidate for president is from the land of cheese curds and brewskies. While social media has been abuzz with anaylses, explanations and condemnations of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, reporter Ariel Cheung feels that few manage to sum up the governor like Vox's "Scott Walker loves Ronald Reagan more than seems humanly possible." From eating Reagan's favorite foods on the former president's birthday (which is, oh yeah, also Walker's wedding anniversary but NBD, he's got more important things to celebrate) to keeping a photo of his political crush on his college desk a la Leslie Knope, it's pretty clear that no one loves Reagan more.
