EDISON PARK — Two restaurants are helping push the effort to turn the playground at Edison Park's namesake park into a black-and-red shrine to the Chicago Blackhawks over the goal line.

Nonno Pino's Italian Kitchen, 6730 N. Olmstead Ave., will donate 20 percent of dine-in, carryout and delivery orders from 5 to 11 p.m. Tuesday to the effort to raise $100,000 to transform the rotted, rusted, drab and dangerous playlot at 6755 N. Northwest Hwy. into a state-of-the-art playlot honoring the team battling the Tampa Bay Lightning for the Stanley Cup, organizers said.

Plans call for the main play structure to be adorned with the team's famous Indianhead logo, and each entrance would be hockey-themed.

Raffle prizes up for grabs at Nonno Pino's on Tuesday include a jersey autographed by Patrick Kane, a hockey stick autographed by Duncan Keith, a hockey stick autographed by Denis Savard and two tickets to a game next season.

Hockey fans can watch Game 4 of the Hawks-Lightning at the Firewater Saloon, 6689 N. Oliphant Ave., from 7 to 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Raffle prizes up for grab at Firewater Wednesday include two Chicago Blackhawk jerseys, an autographed Patrick Sharp poster and gift certificates to Edison Park businesses, organizers said.
