CHICAGO — Nine people have been wounded in shootings since Monday morning.

Most recently, a 62-year-old man was grazed in the shoulder in Roseland Tuesday morning, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Around 5:05 a.m., the man was waiting for a bus in the 700 block of West 111th Street when two men walked up and attempted to rob the man before opening fire. The man was taken to Roseland Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

A CTA bus and vestibule were damaged in the shooting, but no one on the bus was struck by gunfire, Sedevic said.

Also early Tuesday, a 20-year-old man was shot in Bridgeport. And just before midnight, a 38-year-old man was wounded in Englewood.

Around 10:25 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the upper back while driving with another person in the 500 block of North Kedzie Avenue in East Garfield Park, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

After the man was shot, the passenger drove him to Norwegian Hospital. He was then transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Cooper said.

Twenty minutes earlier, a 22-year-old man was driving in the 1600 block of North Mayfield Avenue in Austin when he heard gun shots. When he got out of the car around 10:05 p.m. he was struck in the buttocks, Cooper said.

A friend then drove him to West Suburban Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Cooper said.

Around 8:36 p.m., an 18-year-old man was walking in the 1700 block of East 71st Street in South Shore when someone got out of a dark car and opened fire, striking him multiple times in the  body, Cooper said.

The shooter got back into the car and drove northbound. The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Cooper said.

Around 4:15 p.m., a 34-year-old man was in his car in the 4700 South block of South Ada Street when a man pulled alongside him and began arguing with him. During the argument, the other man pulled out a gun and shot the 38-year-old in the left shoulder, Cooper said.

The wounded man fled the scene and called police. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Cooper said.

Two people were shot while walking in the 7000 block of South Chappel Avenue in South Shore around 12:20 p.m. Monday. A 20-year-old man was shot in the chest and leg. He was listed in serious condition at Northwestern Hospital, Cooper said.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks. He was listed in serious condition at Northwestern Hospital also, Cooper said.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings.
