LAKEVIEW — Warning: There's a 100 percent chance of zombies will attack if you attend the Shambler's Ball.

The Lakeview charity event takes its cue from the popular book "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." At 7 p.m. Oct. 27, guests will gather at the Public House Theatre for a night of dancing, food and revelry.

Instructors will walk the group through a traditional English country dance — and at some point, zombies will attack. Guests will need to fight off the undead in a quick game inspired by "Humans vs. Zombies."

Proceeds will benefit Chicago Loot Drop, a local organization that buys games, toys and books for kids at Comer Children's Hospital.

Tickets cost $25-$30 and include a buffet-style dinner. Dress is cocktail attire or dressy casual. Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend.

Public House Theatre is at 3914 N. Clark St.
