Sample 20 Craft Beers in One Night at St. Alphonsus Oktoberfest

LAKEVIEW — It's all about beer, brats and pretzels this weekend when Oktoberfest returns to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for the 14th year.

On Friday and Saturday night, there will be craft beer tastings from 6-9 p.m. in the church's "German Beer Hall." Tickets cost $40 and include admission to the fest, a pretzel necklace and 20 three-ounce tastings from regional craft breweries. Tickets are available here.

If you're looking for family-friendly activities, you might want to check out "Kinderfest," a children's festival featuring face painting, storytelling, inflatables, dance parties and arts and crafts. It runs 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

There will be two stages with live bands, who are slated to play polka music, rock and pop. To see the full schedule, click here.

The festival at 1429 W. Wellington Ave. runs 5-10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 Friday and Saturday and free Sunday, when football games will air on a giant-screen TV from 2-7 p.m.
