CHICAGO — A 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted Saturday morning in Humboldt Park, police say.

The girl was walking westbound in the 2800 block of West Division Street about 12:15 a.m. when she was approached by a man.

He tried to start a conversation with the victim, but when she refused, he grabbed her, took her to a secluded area and sexaully assaulted her, police said in a community alert.

He then fled westbound in a blue SUV.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 20-35 years old, 5-foot-8, and 180 pounds. He has an olive complexion, medium length black hair, and was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue pants. He drove a newer model blue SUV, but police said the make and model are unknown.

Police said anyone with information can call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
