CHICAGO — David Bowie will be the belle of the ball — even if he doesn't show up — at Thursday's Bowie Ball at Berlin Chicago.

Chris Connelly and Robert Byrne will give live performances as Bowie, and Bowie-esque DJ sets will be provided by Heaven Malone, Greg Corner and X[P].

A Bowie Ball news release encouraged attendees to "glam it up, dress like a dandy and let's love the alien with some glitter on top." Glitter and glam makeovers will be available at the ball, which is limited to those 21 and older.

The concert is being held to coincide with ticket sales for "David Bowie Is," a Museum of Contemporary Art exhibit that features Bowie's music, art and films. The exhibit will debut in the fall.

RSVP to the ball online. The event will run from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. at 954 W. Belmont Ave.
