NEAR WEST SIDE — Police have issued a warning after two armed robberies last week on the Near West Side.
The robberies occurred between 1:15 and 1:45 a.m. April 22 in the 200 block of South Peoria Street and 400 block of North Ashland Avenue.
In both cases, three men emerged from a vehicle, and one pulled out a handgun before robbing the victim. The thieves then drove off.
The suspects are described as black men ages 18-25, ranging from 5-foot-6 to 6-foot-3, and weighing 150 to 180 pounds.
