CHICAGO — Four people were killed and at least 35 wounded in weekend shootings.

The most recent incident happened about 9:40 p.m. Sunday when a 44-year-old man was shot in his head in the 100 block of West 104th Street in Roseland, police said. The victim was fighting with another man, who pulled a gun and opened fire.

The victim was listed in "stable condition" at Advocate Christ Medical Center, authorities said, while the shooter was in police custody. Charges are pending.

Earlier Sunday, 21-year-old Cindy Bahena was fatally shot in her head while riding in a car in Logan Square. Eleven other people were wounded across the city Saturday night and Sunday.

From Friday to Saturday, three people were killed and 23 wounded in a 10-hour span.

Martavian Emery, 21, was killed in Back of the Yards Saturday when someone fired shots into his kitchen. A young woman was also injured in the incident.

In Austin, 17-year-old Jaquez Williams was shot dead when a gunman dressed in all black opened fire early Saturday. And on Friday night, 32-year-old Leonore Draper was fatally shot as she left a fundraiser for an anti-violence group.
