CHICAGO — Police said Wednesday they have a suspect in custody after two women were robbed at the same CTA Blue Line station in Logan Square.

The man was taken into custody not long after police issued surveillance photos of a suspect wanted for the crimes, which happened earlier this week as well as last month, according to police.

About 6:25 a.m. Sunday, a man robbed a 28-year-old woman as she was either on or exiting an "L" train at the Western Avenue station, 1900 N. Western Ave., police said in a community alert.

He ran off after the robbery.

On Jan. 6 at the same station, a 32-year-old woman was robbed in a similar fashion, according to police.

Police issued photos Tuesday that they said showed the suspect.

On Wednesday morning, police said the investigation was "ongoing," and no one has been charged.
